We worked on walks this week in Stop Motion. It's a lot easier to draw one, but it is fun to work with a puppet.
I misremembered the class assignment, so this served as a test for my puppet. The walk itself is kind of jerky, but I was also getting used to the mechanics of it all.
So here's the real assignment. The end was the hardest part, because I was running out of box.

I know it's been awhile, but since we meet in the school's building, we play by the school's rules. I don't have anything real new on the Reprogrammed front. I've finished a couple of shots, but I think they're too new to share. But! The website is up and running now, though there will be more added to it by the end of the month. We're going to be at Wonder Con, so everything has to be together for that. Check it out at here.
I've been busy with other stuff, though. This semester is packed with all sorts of fun things. I can now say that I can make a ball bounce in three different mediums.
This is meant to loop, I just forgot to make it loop a few times before making it into a video.
A jumping sack. Everyone has to animate a sack at some point in their career. Usually it's at the beginning.
I'm really happy with this. I haven't done a morph in a really long time. I love how the snail came out. I wish I could have kept him, but he had a higher purpose.

The clay from the morph went into the feet and head of my puppet in progress. I want him to be a penguin.
Finally, I saw Coraline last night. It was such an awesome movie! Everyone should try and see it.

What I've Been Doing Lately
I've been working on the Reprogrammed project for about seven months now, and I've finished quite a few shots. I haven't put them up on my YouTube account, for obvious reasons, and I don't think I ever will. I'll just keep them here.
This was my first shot. We started out reanimating the opening to the show, which has the two little bots carrying their friend, Timmy, who ran into a bit of trouble. I've never done a lift before, and this turned out very nice.
Then we moved on to reanimating the trailer/prequel, which shows the trouble Timmy got into. We're just about done with it.
This shot has been chosen to be on the main webpage, it's one of the small stills on the left side.
Walkcycle for a background character. Yes, it's Timmy, but we don't have any other models except for the main characters.
I love working on this project. It's so much fun.
